Sea Breeze Elementary School hosted an initial Family Fun Night on October 25, 2018, with the goal of positively engaging Sea Breeze families around food. There were more than 300 people who attended to make tacos and complete crafts.
This exceeded all of our expectations for the event in terms of the number of families and the positive interactions between staff and families. Sea Breeze is in the process of keeping these fun events and integrating learning booths for families. Based on a parent survey taken before the Halloween parade, we found out that parents want to know how to help their child with i-Ready and reflex math at home.
At the next Family Fun Night, staff will have learning booths for these two academic programs at Sea Breeze. We would like to thank the Anna Maria Oyster Bar for supplying the tacos and the Sea Breeze staff and families for partnering to make life better for kids.
