Summer Learning Day Events – Sarasota
July 14, 2016 @ 8:00 am - 7:00 pm

National Summer Learning Day (SLD) takes place in communities across the country to raise awareness among families of the importance of summer learning. This year the Community Foundation of Sarasota County is partnering with the Herald-Tribune Media Group, the Suncoast Campaign for Grade-Level Reading and several other organizations to bring 42,000 books to children and families without books in their home. The SLD events planned in Sarasota will showcase the free Summer Learning Academies in some of our Title 1 elementary schools as well as some of the Glasser Schoenbaum Human Services Center agencies that support these families.
