This year’s Suncoast Summer Reading Challenge will launch on June 1, so make sure your child is registered! Parents, this isn’t just an experience for the little ones. SCGLR has prepared a special evening just for you on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, from 6:30-7:30pm. We’ve invited former social worker, professional comedic actress, and current television personality, Linda Larsen, to be this year’s high-energy motivational speaker!

Family engagement is a collective responsibility in which schools and other community groups and organizations are committed to reaching out to engage families in meaningful ways, and in which families are committed to actively supporting their children’s learning and development. Statistics show that family engagement in reading – including reading aloud to children – has a major impact on reading success!
